Round 5

Fight to the finish.

Altona 1-1 Moreland

In a game witnessed by a few hundred at Paisley Park, none went home disappointed after watching an action packed game of football that had it all. It was the visitors, Moreland Zebras that looked the dominant force from the first whistle and only minutes into the game, they managed to break the Magic defence and goalie in no time, making the score 1-0. The conditions made the game harder to play in with heavy rain coming down at a few stages. Altona had little clear cut chances, however it was when Khrapko danced through the Zebras defence, slotting the ball past the keeper when we really saw that the Magic were not letting this one slip. Late in the game Moreland were unlucky not to cement a win with goalkeeping and defensive desperation saving the Magic on the line twice, and the crossbar once. FT 1-1.

Altona Magic have suffered its first loss for the season at the hands of boggie team, Heidelberg United with a result of 3-0.

All goal were conceeded in the second half as the young Magic side could not cope with the Heidelberg pressure. Unlucky with a couple of chances not going our way to bring the game back at 2-1, the boys censeeded another making it out of reach, 3-0.
